As a just-graduated-senior about to move-out of Ithaca for the last time unless I hit a miracle off Cornell's reserve, I resent all the Ithaca bashing.

You can't get this at Vandy:

Actually, you can. Fall Creek Falls (Pictured below) is only ~90 miles & there are numerous others (even closer) in the same chain of mountains (Appalachian) as you will find in Upstate New York.

Ok well 90 miles away isn't really at Vandy. There are gorges literally right next to Cornell Law School.

I absolutely think Ithaca is beautiful. I wouldn't call the bagel remark "Ithaca bashing." More like friendly ribbing. I'm sure the bagel shop is a lot of fun.

Yeah. There were just a slew of negative comments about Ithaca in a row. Such as:

I cannot, with a clear conscience, give you any advice that would lead to you moving to Ithaca.

The CTB ribbing was in good fun, I'm sure. It was more the general anti-Ithaca sentiment that I was addressing.

I do agree that Ithaca is beautiful in the summer. Unfortunately, this happens to be a different time than when law school occurs.

I don't think the point is that Ithaca is terrible, I think the point is that the culture of Nashville and Vandy is great, the school is great, and the money is great, and there isn't a single compelling reason to choose Cornell over Vandy in this situation.
