Joining facebook page while on another waitlist?

I just deposited at my backup school. I really want to join the class facebook page so I can start figuring out living situation, etc. But I'm on the waitlist at my first choice school, and I'm not sure if they'd try to look at that sort of thing. Would being in the facebook group for another school look bad?

Dont worry. I really believe that schools have more important things to do than to search for you on Facebook. Really.

If youre concerned then just alter your privacy settings so that only "friends" can see you and not everyone.

?? I did it. I don't think schools would fault you for being realistic about the possibility of getting off of waitlists. Obviously you're hoping for the best, so if things change then so be it; but at some point you're going to need to plan to go to the school you've deposited at as if you will be attending.

You don't need to be even remotely worried, join the FB group. Good luck with your waitlist!

Thanks guys! And I don't know why it didn't occur to me to change the privacy setting .

I'm on 3 different Class of 2013 FB groups right now, don't think it's an issue.

Edit: Just read your post again and saw that you're on the WL, as opposed to admitted, at the other school. I still don't think it's an issue, though.
