Got waitlisted by a university that I hold a degree from and im 6 points over their LSAT...

But YPing occurs because the school things the candidate is unlikely to attend. Being their alma mater is a huge factor in deciding where to go.Bert wrote:You just another candidate to them -- not "one of their own." Very few schools think that way any more.

GPA/softs aren't what they are looking for and therefore they gave you a WL to see if some other high LSAT drops out.WL because they don't want him makes sense. WL for YP makes none.
I don't think you can legitimately call YP unless you are above both medians. Depends on the schools acceptance patterns. according to LSN im the first one to be anything but accepted with an lsat above 165. Just seemed odd they would do it to an alumni
