Top Law Schools

I applied late to Case Western. My numbers are right on the bubble. They sent me an email yesterday which said they are done reviewing files, and are placing me on the waitlist because there is no room to give more offers. Will go to the waitlist if people withdraw. If Case Western ever accepts me, and I am going to accept and attend 100%.

Did anyone else get this email? It seemed different than other waitlist letters/emails I have gotten. Does anyone have any advice/comments/etc?

PS: if you read this, have been accepted and will not be attending...WITHDRAW FOR ME!!!

I got this same e-mail on 4/1/10 (I applied there 2/1/10). I'm very interested in going there also. I'm a splitter. GPA near 75th, LSAT below 25th.

same here: GPA 75th, LSAT 25th...glad im not alone. hopefully there is some movement for us.

I'd bet there will be movement for you.

Their normal deposit deadline is April 15th. I'm sure you should receive some solid news after the deadline.

That is odd, I applied about two weeks ago and have not received that email

interesting...maybe they haven't had a chance to receive/read your app yet (takes 10 business days for lsac to send your stuff) or your numbers are super high and they are making room for you. mind hinting at your numbers? i.e. percentiles relative to case?

It very well could be the first part, the others schools I have applied to have been sending me stuff saying my application is complete this week. There is a chance they have gotten the stuff later in the week. My numbers are definitely not automatically in, they are are both around 25th percentile, a little better. Case was one of 2 best schools (according to USNews) that I applied to along with Florida State. I probably would not have applied to Case if it wasn't for the email they sent me and the fact that the APP fee was waived so it did not hurt.

I got accepted yesterday with a scholarship. I've withdrawn so there's def room.

I was just noticing on LSN that in past years there haven't been many "WL, Accepted"'s

i noticed that too. no comment lol.

anyone notice any movement for case on their waitlist lately? it seems like they did have room and are still accepting people with better numbers.

i am still hoping/praying!

I still haven't heard anything. I'm hoping/praying too haha. Wrote a LOCI, updated resume, and an additional LOR. Now all I have to do is wait....fun!

I applied, and didn't get the email. 'Course it could just be that they didn't even look at my app yet.

When did you apply? I send my app Feb 1st and was waitlisted exactly 2 months later on April 1st.

Got the same e-mail yesterday. I'm on the priority waitlist. I love Case and really want to go there. Good luck to all of us in riding it out. (Hoping you guys are on to something with the LSN info)

Same. Mine didn't either. Looks good for you though krzyreeesh! Not so much for me.

My application is now under "Committee Review" could that be a good sign? I never got the 'we have no more room' email.

It was my understanding that case has received well over 210 deposits so if anyone else gets in I will be surprised

According to LSN, they've waitlisted applicants as recently as 5/12. If they have a full class, you'd think they would be rejecting people.

A couple people drop out over the summer, happens everywhere.
