These phone calls would be about the status of my application.
I want to call an office but I called 2 weeks ago and i'm not sure how this may be viewed. (Don't want to seem staulkerish)

Never, send an e-mail..
Have you called Stanford, Harvard, or Chicago?? Pretty sure none of those three like being called or e-mailed.

Is there a reason to call. An online status update? New information sent in? Anything? If you are just calling to "check in" on an already complete app I think just once is enough. But if there is a reason to call or specific information you need I think calling once or twice a month is fine.

Depends on the admissions office. Some hate it, others encourage it. Hard to give advice without knowing the school.

I find phone calls, unless it is something time sensitive or overly complex, to be in bad form.
I, personally, have never called an admissions office except to confirm the reception of my deposit or application materials from schools which I know do not have ways to verify that online.

To Unitas:
The only school i've called is stanford and it was to make sure information that I sent in was indeed received, and that was the school I was planning to call again.
I had an extra LOR sent in.....I want to ask if it was received.....just email?
