Neither is going to give you a great shot at NYC big law but BC will give you far more options if you aren't able to get NYC biglaw.

This is a clear choice. FWIW, I'm admitted to both of these schools so I'm not plugging one or the other for personal reasons but you really must choose BC here. I do think BC gives you a better shot at NYC big law as BC places around 30% into big law each year although I just spoke to a few students at BC on Monday and they said they knew of a good amount of students that had offers at NYC firms but chose to stay in Boston instead. Cardozo has about 10-15% go into big law jobs and that's really a stretch.
The other thing that people don't highlight on TLS enough is that once you are into a Boston firm you can transfer to their NY branch easier than just getting into it straight out of law school. Look at which firm have offices in both cities and you may be able to do well at BC, land a great firm job in Boston (there still exist despite the prevailing TLS ideology, I just spoke to a friend who founded her own firm in Boston and now it is a mid level firm who reassured me that although hiring is down there are lots of opportunities available in Boston - especially for Harvard and BC grads followed closely by BU) and then be able to laterally move into NYC big law.
Cardozo would set you up very well I believe due to their emphasis on clinical and practical education for a career in public interest and maybe even international work due to their location.
If you have any interest in firm work however, you need to choose BC here. Also it is probably slightly cheaper with both a lower tuition and COA.

For Cardozo you will have to be top 10-15% for a big law job in NYC. For BC top 30% of class land big law in Boston i'm not sure about their nyc numbers.
