What is up with Cardozo

I completed all of my applications at the same time and have received decisions from all of them but Cardozo. I have a full scholarship to St. John's and Hofstra. I am leaning towards St. John's and the April 15th deadline is quickly approaching, but I am wondering if there is still any chance I could get in and get money from them as well. Is anyone else waiting or in a similar situation?

I am in a similar situation, I have heard back from almost everywhere except Cardozo. Maybe they are like that because they make decisions on a rolling basis starting in January, and not earlier like other schools?

been wondering the same. ive been "complete and under review" since 02/4
my numbers should make me auto admit so im not really sure whats up. the longer they wait the more likely i will not accept their offer even if they give me a ton of money.

They have a ton of good applications this year so they are delaying things. You might want to call and ask.

Yep. They actually called me out of the blue last week to tell me that they were swamped with "very qualified" applications, and thus to not expect a response any time soon. I'm guessing Cardozo is a safety for a ton of highly qualified NYC applicants.

EDIT: btw, I asked them if this delay meant I was a hold or a waitlist or that I was underqualified and they said unequivocally "no". It's merely because of so many apps (though I do expect they're hoping some people will withdraw this month).

I got the same phone call today. She made a point to say that the committee was very interested in me, and that I am likewise have the impressive qualities of the other applicants, just they have had so many highly qualified applicants that they are calling to see who is still interested. It kinda threw me for a loop.

Last year after I got into Fordham in late april I emailed the adcom and asked for a refund b/c I had applied in December and never heard back from them. The Dean of Admissions personally emailed me that they had too many qualified applicants and they were sorry for the delay. In any case, seems like the same is going on this year. If you want to roll the dice, try asking for an application refund...could:
i) speed up the response time
ii) get you a refund
iii) who knows?

I don't think you'll get an offer out of Cardozo which will top your ride. I wouldn't stress. They're all pretty similar after Fordturkey, with Cardozo/Brooklyn only slightly bettering St. John's.

Likely they are swamped. I just got a letter from a law school where my numbers above the 75th percentiles. The letter explained that they've received tons of applications and that while they think that I am highly qualified, they can't offer any more admits until after the April 15th deposit deadline. Made it sound like I would probably make it in after April 15th if I stuck around long enough.

I think this is going on at a lot of places.
