Top Law Schools

Well, I am wait listed at UVA, which is by far my top choice. I am a Virginia resident.

So a few questions:

1) Does anyone have any specific advice on how to get off of the wait list and into this year's class? (other than the UVA web site says, "stay in frequent contact," etc. ) Should I be calling, offering a visit, sending candy!???

2) Does anyone have any estimation of the likelihood of getting into the class off of the wait list? Do you know if they rank the wait list? Do they do it by tiers or how does that work?

Any information that can help me right now will be GREATLY appreciated. I have always wanted Virginia more than any other school, and this is so close! I want to do what I can to get the rest of the way in.

Oh yes, one more question... does a "wait list" status give me a better chance of transferring to UVA for 2L if I don't make it off of the wait list?

No, not ED. I actually sent the application in two days before the deadline!

I'm in this boat. I'll be visiting the campus soon, so hopefully that, plus another LOCI will help.

I wish you the best of luck, even though I hope that if it comes down between the two of us, I make it in! ;p That's just the nature of the game. Virginia is an awesome school.

I just wish that I had some idea of what my odds are and how they rank the wait list.
