Not a cycle that is awesome or horrible...just one where the adcomm decisions have been surprising, unexpected, and just plain all over the place.

I doubt I will be the winner but for reference at 3.77/161 I got accepted into a strong consider (Kent) with $$, but waitlisted (Seattle) and dinged (St. Louis) from two admits.

More than anything I want to see how amazingly varied and inconsistent adcomms can be with the same applicant!

SU and SLU are both Jesuit institutions. They may be looking for something different in applications besides just numbers, such as service and a commitment to social justice.

I have a friend with a 3.92/172 who was accepted to Columbia, NYU, and GULC (none of which are surprising), but was WL'd by both Berkeley and Duke. Still pending on a lot of schools, too.
