I haven't seen this posted yet and would like to hear thoughts from folks who have applied/visited? I applied really late in the cycle after a friend told me about their Social Justice Institute program.

I applied around a month ago. I've been in review since 3/3. I haven't visited yet, but was told by someone who has that Concord, NH is a nice, quiet, small town with not much to do besides study. On another note, I read friday that Franklin Pierce and the University of New Hampshire started the process of merging and that FP will be changing its name to the University of New Hampshire School of Law in the near future fwiw.

edit - found a link to the UNH/FPLC merger stuff http://www.piercelaw.edu/news/posts/201 ... iation.php

Nice, quiet, small town sounds okay to me...I've never been to New Hampshire at all so I'm sure a visit will be needed.

Do you think the merger is good or bad?

Have you been accepted? My file went complete today...they said about 4 to 6 weeks. I know nothing about Concord...

Yeah I was accepted a while ago with 8k/year. I'm probably going to go there. I'm from NH and really wanted to go to a city but it's way too expensive and Franklin Pierce has the best IP program of the places I've been accepted. Concord is a quaint, smaller place...really quiet. Nothing to do but study really.

So Concord is fairly affordable? Would there be jobs available for my partner? I was first attracted to their Social Justice Institute, not so much in IP. Do you think it's worth pursuing even if I'm not interesting in intellectual property?

Status date just changed to under review 3/25 on the status checker. Hopefully this means I'll be hearing something soon.

Regarding the movement towards merger, I'm not really sure what to think of it. I'm a bit worried that some focus might be taken away from their intellectual property law program. On the other hand, pairing with a research institution is a positive. Any potential of receiving in-state tuition after the first or subsequent year would also be a plus from my end.

I just got in here too. I haven't visited either but I'm certainly intrigued. It depends on what happens with Buffalo and Lewis & Clark.

My file just went under review 3/23. They said 4-6 weeks before they render a decision. I love this school, and am quite impressed by the merger and also by the Daniel Webster Scholar Honors Program.

First seat deposit paid. I'll be attending the ASD in May to make a semi-final decision. Good luck to everyone.

Congratulations to those who were accepted. This was last acad year, so I don’t know if you guys are still visiting TLS here.

I have a 160 LSAT. Tech background and work ex in IP. As I am an intn’l applicant, there is no official GPA figure, but LSAC’s evaluation comes to an A grade. I have yet to apply. Up to what amount of scholly would be considered OK? Also, can you guys please suggest any other places I should try.

Thank you!

A 160 is pretty good there and would probably get some $, like half tuition, depending on how they evaluate your international grades. If they look at your international grades as ~ 4.0 you should be looking at 1/2 tuition AT LEAST and probably full tuition.

I'm 167 LSAT with a 2.9 and I'm expecting at least 1/2. I'm retaking in Dec. and expecting 171ish. If I score around there I think I'm in for a full scholly.

It also depends somewhat on your tech background. Are you patent bar eligible? I think they'd give a bump to people who are patent bar eligible and probably an additional bump to engineering undergrads.

By the way I was accepted Friday, waiting for the official letter in the mail.
