I’ve decided that waiting for a decision letters in the mail is torture! It's not quite waterboarding, but considerably close. Adcomms, please remember that this is my LIFE, and a decision sometime in the relative future would be nice.
Why cant all law schools show acceptance/rejection via status checker

I dunno, to me timing matters more than format...
When I heard from a school three weeks after I went complete, it was a pleasant surprise and it wouldn't have mattered if it came by phone, e-mail, status checker, regular mail, whatever.
For the schools that still have me in review less than two weeks before other deposit deadlines arrive, anything they do at this point will annoy me to some extent, even if it ends up being good news. (Though good news would be much less annoying.

Don't wait, inebrate.
If you're in, you'll drink to celebrate. If you're dinged, you'll drink to forget. If you're waitlisted, you'll drink because you're an alcoholic and your personal statement about Jack Daniels' contributions to your undergrad experience didn't sway the right people. There's a common theme in all of the above.

My mail comes extremely early in the morning.
So it is nice to be able to go out to the mailbox first thing in the morning, check and see if I got any letters, and go about my day.
Status checkers, on the other hand, are the devil incarnate, because there is always a temptation to check again. Seriously cramps my productivity.

Waitlisted...pissed! Now, I get to wait on pins and needles all the way until class starts!
