Because we want schools to be somewhat holistic. A computer could give you a decision very quickly, but you might not be thrilled with it.

I agree, no need to be mean. Venting and ranting should be welcomed at this stage in the game. Think and stay positive - you will get in to the right school for you. Woah yeah definitely chill out. How are people freaking out over this when the undergraduate admissions review process was like at least 4 months? This process takes patience. Even with the purported "rolling admissions" system. Even for your safeties. Here's my theory:
They do batches at a time. If you are not one of the accepted in your batch, but might be too good for a waitlist, they'll put you in the next batch, and so on and so on

I am frustrated also, waiting for my #1 choice when I have already been accepted to schools with higher gpa/lsat medians...I want to pull my hair out.
