Based on past years, does anyone have any idea when we might start to hear decisions for held applicants?

Was held around March last year I think. They gave me an end of April deadline for a final decision.... I'm assuming they didn't give you a firm date?

It says we'll get a final decision no later than April 25th.

Got a firm date of no later than April 25th, but I was just wondering if they ever released decisions earlier than that.

ITT there were held--->accepted on March 28th a few years ago. If there is an element of YP to some of the holds I imagine they may hear back more quickly depending on how convincing their LOCI is.

There were definitely some that heard back prior to April 25th. The longer you have to wait though, the more likely you will end up on their reserve...

I sent my LOCI to Columbia using their web form. Now I'm worried they didn't get it because the form doesn't give a receipt.

Is it bad to call and ask?

I don't see why it would be.

Just called the admissions office, and was told to e-mail admissions@law.columbia.edu to confirm receipt. HTH.

Looks like another "hold" cluster might be going out today.

I just sent an email and they said they would add it to my file...no LOCI form or anything.

I sent my LOCI through their form last week. I emailed them to see if they got it.

No response.

Why so unfriendly, Columbia?

Very interested to see how this pans out for everyone (including CLS).

I started the cycle very, very motivated for Columbia. But given the acceptances (and speed) I have elsewhere, its getting hard to stay interested. FWP for sure, but still a little disappointing. Money could help.

Soo, MirrorofErised promised cookies... I see no cookies... Mirrors, I think this could be a serious C&F issue...

Is anyone else subscribing to the "we want to give you a Hamilton/Butler, but we only have a limited amount to give out, so we want to see how many of our current Hamilton/Butler admits chose CLS" theory?

I received my hold letter today. 3.9 GPA at HYP and 173 LSAT for those that were wondering. I'm withdrawing my application from consideration though and wish you all the best! Stay strong, everyone!

Out of curiosity was your letter via email, or snail-mail? So far I think all Holds have been via email, but I might be wrong.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
