Been accepted at Duke, Vanderbilt, Georgetown, and W&L ages ago.
Should I expect a ding/wl?

You still have a shot, and you should get NYU as well if you applied there.

I talked to an advisor there, and he recommended it in my case.

In the same boat, similar stats, no LOCI. I'm also in the same boat for 6 other schools. :|

ah ic...
do you have any dings or wL at any peer schools that may suggest a cause for alarm concerning your application?

I have been under review since early Nov. with no status checker updates at UVA....

It doesn't appear to be that abnormal this cycle.

No, all acceptances--but UVA is my first choice, and also the only school I haven't heard from yet. That fact makes the wait that much more excruciating.

Similar numbers, I applied in November and just heard today that I got WL'd. So it might be awhile for you. Good luck!

yeah, and it doesn't make sense for you to ED there since your numbers typically get 75k-90k scholly. but i think you'll be fine. according to lawschoolnumbers.com only 2/25 of uva applicants with 170 lsat and 3.8 gpa or higher were waitlisted (the rest accepted). this year it's 1/19 so far.

do a filtered search of 170 lsat and 3.8 + gpa........actually doing a filtered search does not reveal hidden profiles which the graph seems to show.

I made a mistake and thought that you meant 170+ LSAT, not precisely 170 LSAT.

Same here. Well, close anyway. I went under review mid-November with no status checker updates since. There are quite a few of us with November complete dates and no updates.

I'm in a similar boat -- 174/3.83, plus good softs (non-trad (9 years work experience), Master's Degree (with a 4.0 in grad school)) -- been under review since 1/5, not a peep. If the .03 below their median GPA WLs me I'm going to be slightly perturbed. Anybody have any sense as to how much of their class they filled through ED? Looked like they sent a bunch of waitlists last night again ...

I'm also waiting on Columbia, NYU, Harvard, and Chicago -- Duke PR'd me and GULC accepted me.

The waiting is seriously getting on my nerves.

I would have thought my numbers would have been guaranteed ins at a few of these schools, but this cycle appears to throw everything out the window.

Why didn't I apply for law school two years ago again? :(

Called admissions--said their decison should be made "fairly soon." Fairly soon could not be defined, but still I might be moving in the right direction.

I can't help but wonder what percentage of applicants to UVA are still waiting. I'd be fine with being WL'd, so long as I had a concrete answer and was able to take the next step in deciding on other schools.

Me. Although I've been "pending review/decision" since 2/8. Don't know if that's worse...I'm starting to think I should forget about UVA.

I've been "pending review/decision" since 1/28. Just changed to 3/14 today, so I am expecting either snail mail or email admit or WL sometime this week. We'll see. (172/3.84, so hopefully not an outright ding)
