Do schools send out initial decisions after April 15?

Post by j.wellington » Fri Mar 05, 2010 4:43 pm

Since this is a pretty common deposit deadline, I would think (read: hope) that most law schools would make a good-faith effort to have the vast majority of their decisions done by then. Yet as I enter March with a few of my apps not even under review, I'm not so confident. If I applied in mid- to late-December, should I be prepared to put down a seat deposit somewhere before I have my full range of options (not counting wait lists)? Am I just impatient?

I don't have the answer to your question but I'm in your boat. I guess no answer to date from some schools is better than a rejection. I'll probably be sending out a seat deposit to my top school that's actually responded by April 15th to play it safe.

Good luck, I hope you hear back from your schools soon. Oh and make sure not to pray for patience because you'll just get more trials! ;-)
