So tell me who else is a status checker stalker?

How many times do you check your status checkers each week?

I check once a day, typically around 7-8pm, to allow for the west coast time difference since I applied to a lot of schools out there.

Do most schools actually put decisions on the the checker?

I've had to decisions so far. One school changed to admitted. The other never said anything under status.

Sometimes I still check the ones that already have decisions, just to make sure the schools didn't come to their senses and withdraw my acceptances...

+1. Still doing that, just in case.

Also, I wish there was a "once every two hours' option. I check them all day at work, at least 3 times once I get home, and ALWAYS twice in the morning before I go in.

Once a day, usually after I get home from work. I figure checking earlier in the day is pointless.

Funny. I check, this is no shit, at least 10 times a day, weekends too. Mix this with LSN with a dash of TSL and I've logged about 10 hours of well spent time.

I am so envious of the people that say they only check it less than once a week. Think of all of the time we could be saving.

I have decided (almost everyday) that I will not check my status checkers again until March, since that is when I'll probably get the most movement.

But as soon as I get home I find myself checking each of them again. I am addicted. I'm starting to do it without thinking.

Once per day. Sometimes I get busy and forget.

I check the HLS status checker once a day or whenever I want a confidence boost.

You've been so good lately, I suppose we should allow you this one indulgence.

I checked status checkers compulsively the first month or two, then when I realized they weren't really moving and that half of them only say "Decision" instead of what that decision actually is, started refreshing the TLS threads for my schools instead... now I do that all day instead. Much more action (unlike my own life, apparently).

Vandy's only updates at midnight, so you can actually spare checking that one until 5 or so in the morning. Howeva, those other types (in my case UVA, Duke, and GULC) update LIVE during the day, which means uber-neurotic refreshing can give me a glimmer of hope.

So I'm really not obsessive or anything, but I did just spend 15 minutes using two chop sticks trying to fish my mail out of the drop box in front of my house. (My roommate has the mail key and I'm tired of waiting for him to get home)

Sadly, there were no admissions letters in there :(

And my neighbor now thinks I'm a tard.

I went out there in my PJs thinking it wouldn't take a long time, but one of the chop sticks broke :x

This is definitely the funniest thing I've read on TLS in a while. Thank you:)

I think it's time you took the mail key away from your roommate.

When do schools stop updating status checkers for the day! I don't even know why I have an urge to check a few times after 8pm and before I go to bed, it's so sad. I even check Sundays...

Now that I have received decisions from all of my schools that actually use their status checkers, it feels weird to not have anything to obsess over :?
