BEST of luck on the rest of your cycle and good luck at whatever amazing school you end up in during the Fall

Re: The "Why did I apply in January/February/MARCH?!?!" thread.
Applied between Feb 8th and March 1st
1 acceptance
1 wait list
1 hold
9 complete
1 no word whatsoever
Illinois, whom I applied to on the 8th, is a waitlist. Lewis and Clark, applied on the 10th, is a hold, and W&L whom I applied to on March 1st, is the acceptance.
I am a bit frustrated, but I've been reading that a lot of people that have gone complete in Nov/Dec are still waiting. Maybe the date isn't as bad as we make it out to be?

Yeah, even though I have developed carpal tunnel from checking my status checkers so much, I think I might have pulled out my hair by now if I had been waiting since November..lol.skamike wrote:Applied between Feb 8th and March 1st

167/3.2
Waitlisted at Arizona
Outright rejected from GWU
I attribute both of those to applying late

Applied late Jan--late Feb
so far...
3 acceptances (Wake (miracle!), Oregon, Gonzaga)
2 W/L (W&L, American)
1 held for second review (L&C, how dare!)
8 pending (some definite rejections, but surprised they have kept my apps. for so long)
If I get in to UW or UC-Boulder, my cycle will be over

Re: The "Why did I apply in January/February/MARCH?!?!" thread.
well, i wouldnt take less than 165 for an answer so thats why im so late. sept 159 (wtfx!!), dec 161 (damn it!) and feb 167 (finally).
i know my application kicks ass except for my 3.07 GPA, so im letting the chips fall where they may. ive been out of school for 4 years, moved to california alone one day on a whim and stayed for 3 years, when i finally figured out i wanted to go to law school. im not going to beat myself up for not planning my whole life out when i was 18 - life happened and it made me who i am!
applied to 22 places starting 1/19 and finishing 3/1 - but most in late January or early February. in at 3 (W&L, Indiana U @ Indy [ha] and American PT), waiting on all others.

Submitted 14 apps, late Feb - early March. In at 1, nothing from the others yet. They shouldn't give status checkers out to people like me. I'm going to lose my mind before this is over.

Most of my apps went out on Feb. 1st, but on a whim, today I decided to apply to two more schools that gave me waivers: Notre Dame and Cardozo. I'm not sure what i'm expecting; I like Cardozo, but I doubt I'll get enough money to make it a feasible option, and even though my numbers compare pretty well to Notre Dame's, applying this late in the cycle, I'm probably going to be WLed or dinged.

Mostly from a $$$$ aspect. There were some scholarships what were too late to apply for by the time I applied. In some ways though I am happy I didn't apply in October. I feel really bad for those who applied in October and are patiently waiting to here back from schools still.

I totally agree. I can't imagine spending 4 or 5 months in limbo. I would lose my mind.lt0826 wrote:In some ways though I am happy I didn't apply in October. I feel really bad for those who applied in October and are patiently waiting to here back from schools still.
