Top Law Schools

I'm not sure if I should decide where to go based on how much I'll be in debt or not. I know that's important, but should it be the deciding factor?

If I were in your shoes, with my current knowledge of those schools (pretty much nothing) I'd probably go to Miami. Depaul is too risky imo because of how many awesome schools are around that area. Cincinnati not too sure about.

I thought the job propspects for Cincincatti were good in Ohio (or maybe it was just Cincinatti...). If that's true, and you don't mind living there for the rest of your life, then that might be your best bet. I agree about Depaul, but don't know much about the other schools. I think I recall people saying Temple grads do well in Philly, but I don't know if it's worth full price.

Before the economy went boom, Loyola seemed to do pretty well placing grads in/around Chicago...

I mean.. I just feel like job prospects are so subjective. Much of it depends on networking and connections.

did you apply to more schools? Get a full ride at a t3 or a t4. If not go to Miami or no law school at all.

Also.. Cincinnati's scholarship has no requirements. Miami and Depaul are both 3.2 and Penn State is top 1/2 of class.

Unless it's HYSCCN, I recommend going wherever gives you the least amount of debt.

I don't think this is a close question: Cincinnati.

It's the least amount of debt and the best school you have listed. Additionally, Cincy is a pretty good legal market -- and U-Cincinnati dominates it -- and you'll have access to a number of smaller markets around Cincy, including Dayton, Northern Kentucky, etc.

Plus, Cincy has a very small class size which is a strategic advantage over other T2 schools ITE. They have fewer mouths to feed.

Can I also just point out how ridiculous the topic question is....I mean, of course you should base your decision based on debt...

If Cincy is close enough to home that you could live with your parents, then you may want to look at that.

There are problems with UM. They have a huge, ridiculous class size -- they were bribing students not to come last fall, to take a year off. It's vastly overpriced. And South Florida's economy has been killed in the real estate meltdown.

Cincy >>> Miami.
