Top Law Schools

Applied 12/26, complete and in review 12/29 and no update since. Three people on LSN got acceptances yesterday. Two Nevada residents with impressive numbers, and a URM.

my status checker changed to "admitted" and they also send an email

went to hs in nevada (undergrad in utah). would be nice to pay cheap tuition at unlv, but i really dont want to be in the same city as my family. nothing against them, just.... well you know.

I went complete on 10/13 so enjoy the waiting. Ugh i noticed on other posts Nevada residents get priority big time but i didn't realize that they would get decisions faster as well. ( I guess that only makes sense but still)

Got my acceptance email today! It doesn't look like there are many UNLV applicants on here, but for those that care: you might want to check your status, there have been a few acceptances on LSN this morning. Good luck to everyone!

Just checked my status; no update. I should have known. Not only am I out-of-state, but I also applied part-time. I really like the idea of UNLV though. I'm from San Diego, so Vegas is close, plus I think the school is definitely on the rise. It's the only law school in it's area.

I know it's a lot tougher for us out-of-staters though.

Maybe they are taking longer for PT applicants, who knows? I didn't expect such a quick decision, since I am also out of state, so it was a nice surprise when I checked my email this morning. What are your numbers like?

Congrats everyone who made it in. In my email, it said that scholarship info would be in my admissions packet.

I applied to the part-time day program with a 161 and a 3.1.

Barney, are you in-state?

I am out of state so they probably need to give me at least 18k per year scholarship, buttttt since my email didn't reference scholarship it would lead me to believe I didn't get any scholarship.

Myabe I was wrong. The email only discusses financial aid, not scholarship info. I guess I mistakenly assumed that they were referring to scholarships. I OOS as well, but I'm going to apply for residency.

BTW, I'm visiting on the 15th, so I will take some pictures and report any useful information.

This is why they don't care about typos in your PS. They have them in admit emails as well lol

One time some school like Akron or somebody sent out emails that addressed you as your last name.... like LAST NAME, hey! Come to our law school! then five minutes later they sent an email saying sorry for calling us by our last names PLEASE PLEASE COME TO OUR SCHOOL PLEASE GOD WE WANT UR MONEY. well I might have imagined that last part.

I got an email from a school that said dear FIRSTNAME LASTNAME.....

I applied to the part-time program. I'm out of state but I use to live in Vegas. I was a personal banker there for 3 years. I have no idea if this will help me but I hope so because I miss Vegas sooooo much. I hate this snow so much.

He either lied, or you misunderstood him.

I am waiting to hear back from UNLV. I applied back in November/December and hope to get into UNLV. I've gotten into schools in the same range such as LSU, Miami and Nebraska(Cornhuskers should be ranked in the 70s, really dumb screw up but whatever), so I hope to get into UNLV. I've heard they give a HEAVY preference to their residents. I was bitter over this for a while but as the only real law school in the state I guess I can see where they are coming from. Still, I'd love to go there.

Mine switched to In Review 1/28. I applied before Christmas. I am hoping that a longer wait time means schools are actually considering you, otherwise they would just outright reject you right? lol.
