I've been deferred from EA to Regular Decision at School X.

Is it appropriate to send a LOCI in this case?

Absolutely. Its definitely within my Top 3, although within my 'Top 3' the schools are interchangeable

I am by no means an expert on LS applications, but I don't think it would hurt to e-mail admissions and express your interest in attending regardless of having been moved into the general applicant pool.

I'm in the same boat and I sent one in. Figured it couldn't hurt, but who knows?
