congrats! although it might be a risk, i'm actually pretty interested in this school. co-op program especially drew me in. i also am becoming a bigger fan of Philly everytime I visit. If you don't mind what were your numbers? I'm counting on a hefty scholarship offer from them. Are you going to attend for sure?

thanks!

I'm wondering if they will be ranked come this April. I have a lot of schools to hear back from before I can even hope to decide lol.

I went complete on 11/30 and still have not heard anything. I'm above 75h percentile in both GPA and LSAT, shouldnt I have heard from them by now?

Why this April? I am also very curious where they will be ranked. I was accepted last week. Philly is a great city!

I really like the co-op program and was planning on visiting once I got an acceptance. I was waitlisted last week despite strong numbers for Drexel that would have seen money last year. Today I checked my status again and saw that a decision letter had been mailed. Did they decide a third method of informing me of my waitlist status was necessary? Did they pull me off the waitlist? Did they decide after a week that they would rather just reject me?

Has anyone else had this experience?

i've heard people say that Drexel will be ranked some point in the relative future. any merit to these rumours?

Slightly lower than 25% for GPA. Well above 75% for LSAT.

For some reason I thought that's when the USNWR rankings came out each year - no? I could def be wrong.

Drexel still won't be fully accredited, which I think is a requirement to be on the USNWR rankings (explaining their 3 year absence from the rankings).

On my status checker, I got the weird date change, with the status remaining the same "Application received - File complete"

Any clue what this means?

Yep, got that too. Maybe they meant to change it to under review and forgot? Maybe it's just their computer systems updating.

What are your stats? I know the first round of acceptances were somewhere above their 75% in GPA or LSAT. Maybe the medians are coming up for review?

So I got the decision letter(s) today. And I must say, Drexel is a master of redundancy. If I didn't already know I was waitlisted from the status checker and email, they sent me not one, but two identical letters telling me I had been waitlisted.

to go back to the ranking, someone today said they heard they would be in the 80's this year ... how much longer do they have to wait to be accredited fully?

Whoever told you this doesn't know what they are talking about - USNWR doesn't rank schools that are provisionally accredited, so Drexel will not be ranked this year. I think the earliest Drexel can apply for full ABA accreditation is this year, which would mean USNWR can't rank them until after they receive full accreditation in 2011.

80s this yer is a bit much, but in the future, the numbers suggest a 70s-80s ranking (assuming similar stats).

However, the big issue for Drexel is going to be the peer reviews since they play an important role in the rankings (believe it or not USNWR are not 100% LSAT/GPA).

If things go well I can see Drexel ranking around Temple, but it all depends on how smart and strategic their leadership is. Hoping to learn more about them after I talk to the Dean this weekend at ASD.

Trying to decide whether to attend the ASD this weekend. Drexel really wasn't on my radar until I got a fee waiver, but their scholly makes it really worth a serious look.
