If you finish a test early, do you expect a professor to grade it right then and get back to you before the test is even finished? No. He might, which would be awesome, but why should he or she be obligated to do that? Overly-high expectations ITT.
Am I anxious as hell? Yes, god yes I am. But c'mon, they have to go through thousands of apps, and do it "holistically" (so we hope) so I think they're doing a fine job.

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
Well, unless you got a fee waiver, they do owe you. The app fee is high enough that people deserve some consideration. Cornell exploits the fact that applicants can't fight back because all the power is in the law school's hands. If someone wants to go to Cornell--or an Ivy, and that person doesn't qualify for H/Y/P--they have to submit to this process, whether it's 3, 6, or 12 months.eskimo wrote:If you think it's "disrespectful" then withdraw. Seriously. They don't owe you anything.
Not really. Most schools will get back to you in less than 3 months. Even when applicants end up waiting 5-6 months, it's an exception, not the norm.czelede wrote:This is pretty much how many, many top schools are if you aren't auto-admit though? I don't really see how this is ridiculous.
Is this a flame?? If you want to get in, you pretty much have to apply before the deadline--a long time before it, in fact. The flawed, crappy test/teacher analogy is a joke, right?mst wrote:Waiting six months is an issue? Nobody said you HAD to turn your law school application in 4 months before the deadline. APPLIED EA TO CORNELL... ACCEPTED TO GEORGETOWN.
Now I really don't care who accepts or rejects me! I made it to the T14!!
I think I am def initely URM, but I am not according to TLS standards since I am not Mex or Puerto Rican.
DC will be like a steam bath compared to Ithaca...looking forward to some warmer weather.

I'm gone one day, and I miss finding out that Cornell is apparently part of Middle-earth and we're all really mad at the school for not accepting us already. Got it.

I don't recall the Wizards of hogwarts having to travel 30 minutes (and longer in traffic) to get to a different part of the school. There wasn't like a "Hogwarts London Campus"Arbiter213 wrote:I dunno, NU is on a lake.czelede wrote:I think Michigan is already Hogwartscruelestgame wrote:can we make it hogwarts?

You'll never need to go further than about 3-4 blocks.mst wrote: I don't recall the Wizards of hogwarts having to travel 30 minutes (and longer in traffic) to get to a different part of the school. There wasn't like a "Hogwarts London Campus"

Northwestern is by far in my favorite city location in the world. Like perfect. Loooove that area of Chicago & Mich. avenue. But alas, I can not attend. I do have a fee waiver lying around though.
