I know! I'm on my phone during the day when the forums are a-happening, but as soon as I get home on my desktop everybody scatters like cockroaches and my posting capabilities are useless!!!

A lot of the big firms give you free gym memberships, and one I've seen in Dallas even had its own gym!Hildegard15 wrote: Hehehe I love it. TLSing everywhere. But what's with the exercise. Once you enter the real world you're supposed to let yourself go.

A healthy mind needs a healthy body!
And part of my reason for wanting to be an attorney is the sex appeal factor (so sue me).
And fit people come off as more knowledgeable and respected.
I think that's why the firms take an interest in their associate's health.

You're understating the training involved a bit. Running 26+ miles is not easy to anyone (despite what they say). Unless you are a professional runner, in which a marathon is still a long damn run, marathons are hard and always will be hard and it is ridiculous to say otherwise.jettison63 wrote:Just sign up for a marathon!! They are not that hard, but require enough commitment that you can't skimp on the training.Hildegard15 wrote:That would be nice. And might actually motivate me to work out. I've gained 15 pounds since graduating so I'll need a way to work that off. Not having practice for 2 hours a day is a problem.ruizdaw wrote:A lot of the big firms give you free gym memberships, and one I've seen in Dallas even had its own gym!Hildegard15 wrote: Hehehe I love it. ETA: I really do mean that. Thousands of people do them every weekend. Totally doable.
