We could start discussing the merits of the North or West, as opposed to the South?

Thank god someone else noticed this...

And HP is great. I credit it with being the series that got me into reading. The first book was the first "real" book I read by myself in first grade. Its also what kept me in the Fantasy genre. Is it the best series? No, no way. Has it dramatically chanced pop culture, and encouraged a generation of readers? Without a doubt. I think it has done a great good for the world, even if it is just a glorified childrens book.
I think the earlier books are definitely just children's books, but I just love how they matured as we did. They started out pretty light and fun when we were kids, but got darker at the same time our world was getting darker (with 9/11 and the wars, etc.) I feel like it taught us so many lessons - loyalty, hope, friendship, the fact that the world's not just black and white. Harry Potter was and is incredible.

Don't you try to objectively and logically argue with me about Harry Potter. It sucks and you know it. You are just to caught up in the mass hysteria that is Potter worship.
General, you just have to wingardiam leviosa out of this one.

It's a charm that moves things....

And it actually just levitates things.
