Do they usually reject this many applications? I know they don't usually this early.

I am still UR1 11/21 but submitted early Oct - is anyone else still UR1 11/21 who submitted that early?

I wonder if it's because they decide on applicants who went to Penn for undergrad later in the cycle...

Thanks! I received the email about two hours ago. They emailed me instead of calling because I am overseas.

Oh, also, in case this info hasn't been shared yet: Penn starts evaluating for merit scholarships late January, sending out the merit scholarship offers February (she said hopefully early February). If I remember correctly, ASW is Mar 30-Apr 1 (but I could be remembering wrong). Travel stipends are available: she thought it was up to $100 if you're coming from the Northeast and up to $300 if you're coming from elsewhere.

EDIT: Turns out I was remembering wrong, but only slightly; ASW is Mar 31-Apr 1

Who wants to tweet @pennlawadmiss asking if a wave is coming today? Heard they tend to reply.

I would but I do not have twitter...and also also - not it.

I believe not very quickly. About 20 days for me.

Yeah I submitted 12/23, went complete 12/6 (my professor's fault - late rec.) Haven't heard a peep since.

For posterity...

Applied RD - 10/3
UR1 - 11/21
UR2 - 12/9
Denied - 12/21

...on the bright side, I'm a splitter and I was accepted everywhere else I applied. Congrats to everyone who was accepted!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
