Is there a way to know what semester I've been admitted to? I applied summer/fall start but I can't seem to find it on the ASW. I can't check my mail until I get back to school :/

Haha no, trust me, I'm as surprised as you. I'm hispanic but I'm a (very) white hispanic so I checked white on my app. I have a rather interesting life story that makes me very different from the average law school applicant, and I genuinely think that's what Michigan saw in me. Congrats are in order for everyone accepted. I am sure the adcomms are in a good mood today after last night. Maybe they will be more loosey goosey with the acceptances.

It appears like there has been some discernible pattern to how UofM has moved through applicants, as in mostly chronological. Has the wave already passed by the 11/22 status checker group? Not to assume hope is lost. It just seems the new "wave" of admits received the checker in the early days of December.

On a personal aside, coming from an undergrad with a football team that won a fewer % of its games than the acceptance rate at Yale, I found it really funny how I generated illogical hope in trying to read the stars and in my mind say things like "if they make this kick/ U of M will accept me." It was the first football game I watched all season, and I can only imagine the aura of being a student there during football season is simply being an applicant can get me to sit down and watch sports. Anyone else find themselves following teams they would otherwise not care about were it not for their pending applications?

Anyway, best of luck to everyone still waiting, and enormous congratulations to those admitted. I hope to join you guys in the future.

If your numbers are correct in your profile, you are obviously a massive splitter. I hope you applied widely and blanketed t-14, but a great school will take you for sure. Patience is the hardest virtue to come by right now for us all.

The order doesnt seem to be strictly chronological. I was a 12/1 lumped in with some 12/7s even though other 12/1s had already heard, and I would like to think I gave Mich some pretty compelling reasons to choose me haha

it has seemed like wednesdays have represented the bulk of acceptances too, yes? not as a rule, but I feel like theres more movement on Wednesdays than most other days.

It updates every day except Sundays and holidays.

No worries, this happens every few pages or so It's understandable that everyone's really excited because, come on, Michigan is awesome, and so is their football team! But someone should add that fact about the status checker to the OP or the thread title or something...
