for cls, reserve means you have just been rejected. sorry folks.

If I may ask, if that's the case, why not just reject instead of reserve? There has to be a distinction of some kind. Unless their process is just completely illogical, which I suppose wouldn't be terribly surprising.

Agreed...comments like that kinda peeve me...even if just 10 get in off the reserve list, its still a chance and if you want it, go for it! Though, comments like this probably also deter others from remaining on the reserve list, so i guess it's a wash...

i am sorry that reality peeves you. i do not know why they reserve a huge amount of ppl every year but the only "10" who get in are those who have auto admit numbers (already accepted to HYS) or URMs.

Well, it's been a fun ride, guys. I found a letter sized envelope in my box from Columbia just now and immediately knew my cycle was over. It's dated 2/6. It actually hurts a bit less that my first rejection is CLS. Now I can go back to trolling Michigan and NYU .

This year I applied early and still haven't heard anything.

My feeling is that as long as rejections/waitlists are being sent out, not hearing anything isn't so bad. But as soon as the next wave of VCE's start landing in people's mailboxes the anxiety is going to ramp back up.
