No. Michigan's status checker is a useless tease, since it doesn't update until long after you've received a decision by mail. You can either play the "log into ASW game" or wait, but don't bother with the status checker.Take Two wrote:at this risk of sounding like an idiot, is there a status that comes after complete, like an "under review," that I should be freaking out because I dont have it?

It's funny, I wasn't that keen on Michigan at the beginning of this cycle, but it's been moving up my list every week. I think a few other people here reported the same thing.

So...in the status checker, will it still say complete even if you have access to ASW, or will it switch to decision made before you have access?

The former. It will likely change to decision around the time the packet reaches you.thelawschoolproject wrote:So...in the status checker, will it still say complete even if you have access to ASW, or will it switch to decision made before you have access?

Unam, did yours say "no awards found" until today? Not that I could even fathom getting any money. But even $500 will do. LOLUnamSanctam wrote:Congrats!!!!!lawbound2012 wrote:IN! via ASW. OOS. Wrote Why Mich.

Just checked ASW. My financial awards had read "zero awards found" followed by a paragraph which stated that it just meant that a decision on financial aid might be pending. Now it just reads "zero awards found." I guess that means I get zip.

I tried logging into the ASW just to see what all the fuss is about with the red letters.
I feel so loved, like I belong. I finally got me some red!
I hate being left out.

Does anyone still have the paragraph about aid pending?

Mich is weird with money. They give EDers money like they do to RDers. I'm really surprised I got scholly, but people with my numbers (ish) have often received 8-10k/year.Strange wrote:Is M usually this generous with money?
