By nature of when you submitted you are going to have a rather long wait, but it won't preclude you from getting in. I submitted just before Thanksgiving last year and it took me about two months to hear back.

Plus his/her numbers are solid.

Congrats on the dolla$, guys! Michigan is an amazing prospect at sticker, so those of you who are getting money should be rightfully excited.

For those of us who haven't yet heard the good word: anyone know why the admissions seem to have slowed down a bit this past week? I think I heard mention of Michigan focusing on their ED applicants for a few weeks, but I could be confusing that with any of the other 16 schools to which I'm applying

They have to get the ED decisions out by the 15th so that's where the focus is right now.

I'm hoping in the midst of dealing with all these ED applications that Michigan can come up with a scholarship offer. I was accepted RD on the 29th.

I too am hoping for a scholarship offer. After seeing the awards that others have received, I feel a bit rejected. I was accepted over a month ago.

I do have a glimmer of hope, though. I received an email from Dean Z a few days ago about an unrelated matter, but she mentioned filing some paperwork in my file. I didn't think of anything when I first read it, but then I thought to myself "I was accepted a month ago. What could she be putting in my file right now?"

I hope it wasn't a "Don't give this guy a scholarship" letter!

Michigan is sitting at #1 of the law schools that have accepted me thus far, and I'd really like to go there for numerous reasons. I'm married with two school children, though, so the finances will be a big part of my decision in the end.

This happened to me at first. Try a different browser, or after entering your info, click "current students."

RD. I got my status checker on 11/18. I didn't write a why Mich; instead I wrote on one of the other essay topics--something that made me VERY nervous after submitting my app.

Also, I'm going to be a summer starter. Looking for housing as we speak!

I'm glad, thanks! I'm still in shock. My numbers are average. LSAT below median. Submitted RD 10/24 I believe. I wrote a Why Michigan and it was pretty passionate i think...

Just received Dean's Scholarship in the snail-mail! $10,000 per year

The scholarship is for "academic achievement and leadership promise." I certainly didnt receive it for academic achievement (3.8/168), so it must have been for leadership promise (Marine Corps veteran).

So not only is Michigan free thanks to the GI Bill, but they'll actually be paying me $10,000/yr to attend!!! Barring a Harvard or Stanford miracle (free and half free, respectively), I'll be in Ann Arbor next fall for sure.
