When do you think the next batch of decisions will be released?

I need a new computer for law school. Just checked out the cpu requirements page on the website- and am still stuck. What computers would a current pitt student recommend ( either mac or pc- am open to both suggestions, although i am totally unfamiiliar with the mac)

Mac is great, I switched to one after using PCs my whole life and I love it, but one thing to consider is the fact that for some reason Pitt's self-service printing client refuses to work on Macs. This means that instead of just hitting print and swiping your card at a self-service printer, you're forced to email documents to yourself and then print them out from a computer lab.

Though I will say that examsoft seems to work better for me than my PC using classmates.

Not true, I have a Mac and I'm able to use the self-service printing.

Who knows when the next decisions will be released, gin. Maybe this week? Maybe next week after deposits? I just don't want to pay any school a deposit that isn't Pitt, but we will see what's meant to be.

I know deposits are due for some people the fifth so I was hoping we would hear by the 10th the latest. If I don't hear by the 6th or maybe earlier then I'm going to have to send a deposit so that it gets to the school in time.
Why do they have to have that budget fight when deposits are due. I know funding the government is kind of a "big deal" but I'm gonna end up wasting $250 if I'm accepted at pitt...that's so inconsiderate of them

+1. I went to ASD last Friday, really loved it, but just decided that I can't justify the extra cost, when other schools are giving me more money. Good luck everyone, pitt law seems like a great place!

Yeah, its super aggravating this close to deadlines.

I wrote them an email asking them when they will make a decision and then asking about a tour, and the response i got was:

"I will forward your continued interest on the admissions committee."

Nothing else. It was a real turnoff honestly.

Actually I applied mid November. I do realize my numbers aren't the best though

Don't you live like 10 blocks away. Why not just walk to the school and ask them in person? They cant really jerk your chin as easily in that circumstance.

No, actually I work downtown part-time for a lawyer. That's what I meant when I said I could be there in 10 or 20 minutes. Funny you say that though, because if admitted, I plan on just showing up with my deposit soon after. I will consider showing up if it goes past this week and I have no decision - I get a bit nervous in scenarios like that where it is so important to me though.

Yes, you're probably going to hear soon. MY UR date for WVU changed from 2/1 to 3/29 and I was admitted on 3/31. Goodluck!

Open house was great, everyone was really friendly, and full ride, so looks like I'm going.

Does anyone need a roommate? I have lots of friends in pgh, but I don't think any of them would be good to room with in law school. If anyone is looking for a roommate- (I'm female) PM me and let me know!

Not sure, but if you want Cleveland, you're probably better off going to Case or OSU.

I'd guess it would place as well as any non-Ohio Tier 2 school. If you do go to Pitt, I wouldn't go around Pittsburgh saying you want to move to Cleveland
