Sorry to keep harping on the dates, but do you remember roughly when you submitted? (Like, "early October," some range like that?) Either way, Congratulations! That is awesome.

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
I wouldn't worry about it, I had a similar submit date and am still processing. I think its the norm to be processing for a month or more, and I imagine most of their focus is on getting all the EA apps out, I'm sure we'll go complete soon.bananaboat29 wrote:I'm wondering the same thing. Thanks, it does immensely. I submitted 10/26, so I am a little sad to be still UR (since 12/1 --> 12/7). But my complete date was 11/19 - a little later than most who have heard back today - so perhaps I will hear in the next few days.applepiecrust wrote:Yeah, I do remember THAT. Just an FYI, the Cornell dates arent really as relevant as they are at other schools. I applied 8/29, been complete since 10/11 and im still just UR 11/18 with no response.

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
This might not make a difference either, but 12/7 is my updated UR date, not my original date. Actually, let me rephrase that. This probably doesn't make a difference either.Excellence = a Habit wrote:tkgrrett wrote:Just an FYI, the Cornell dates arent really as relevant as they are at other schools. (Given the success of the rest of your cycle and how Cornell has been acting so far this year.) Then again, in that case they probably would have deferred you by now. So yeah, maybe the dates don't mean as much.

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
Just got the DEFERRED email. Basically saying I can be considered for Regular Admission if I choose. What is the significance of deferred/what can I take from such a decision in my chances?
The hell does it mean!? LOL

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
I was deferred with a 166/3.94, which is odd because yesterday, I e-mailed the office asking them to withdraw my application (nearly every other school confirmed my request within hours).

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
It depends. They didn't just defer candidates on the cusp like me. They deferred quite a few overqualified applicants as well. Cornell seems to be practicing a bit of YP this cycle.Keats wrote:Me too. Bummer. How badly does this diminish our chances of admission?ndbrenner wrote:Just deferred via e-mail.
