Yeah, I do remember THAT. I submitted on 10/31, it was received on 11/1, complete on 11/17. Hope this helps?

I wouldn't worry about it, I had a similar submit date and am still processing. I think its the norm to be processing for a month or more, and I imagine most of their focus is on getting all the EA apps out, I'm sure we'll go complete soon.

Thanks, it does immensely. I submitted 10/26, so I am a little sad to be still UR (since 12/1 --> 12/7). But my complete date was 11/19 - a little later than most who have heard back today - so perhaps I will hear in the next few days.

Maybe holding you for YP? (Given the success of the rest of your cycle and how Cornell has been acting so far this year.) Then again, in that case they probably would have deferred you by now. So yeah, maybe the dates don't mean as much.

This might not make a difference either, but 12/7 is my updated UR date, not my original date. Actually, let me rephrase that. This probably doesn't make a difference either.

Just got the DEFERRED email. Basically saying I can be considered for Regular Admission if I choose. What is the significance of deferred/what can I take from such a decision in my chances?

Last I looked it was 12/1 UR.
Now it says Deferred to regular applicant pool 12/9.

It depends. They didn't just defer candidates on the cusp like me. They deferred quite a few overqualified applicants as well. Cornell seems to be practicing a bit of YP this cycle.
