Atty seeking to switch practice areas-haven't practiced at a firm in 6 years

'm an atty who wants to return to practice-I'm open to full or part time. I practiced insurance defense for 8 years then left to raise a family and worked in a family business for 8 years helping to build that business. I was kind of a general counsel to the business-all aspects of a small business-HR, very small amount of government contracts, corporate structure, etc.
Currently, I would like to get back to practicing- would love to work in the government arena-procurement -local/municipal government-federal government. Am also considering getting an LLM from George Washington University in Government Procurement (am in mid 40s) to make myself more marketable as I have little experience in the area, but am drawn to it. I am very willing to work to obtain experience and would be ok with low pay. I'm still licensed and up to date on all CLEs. Any advice/insight on how to accomplish these goals would be appreciated-TIA
