NYC DA's offices

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Mar 24, 2023 2:15 pm

What are the differences in culture, prestige, and difficulty between the DAs offices in NYC? How hard is it to get into the Manhattan DA office? Is it easier to move up in any of them?

Did you get any insight outside of this board?

Manhattan is the most prestigious and elite, with the best exits.

Brooklyn is decent for moving to the EDNY US Attorney's Office, which hires a fair number of ADAs. Also has less politics than Manhattan but lacks the prestige and cool cases that Manhattan has.

Queens is the most conservative and "old school" of the DA's offices and is also pretty political.

Bronx is a hot mess.
