Recent graduate of a T6 school, secondary journal and below average grades. I have a state supreme court clerkship and a district court clerkship, both in cities in the midwest. What are my chances with more plaintiff side firms like Sanford Heisler Sharp, Quinn Emmanuel, Robbins Geller, Motley Rice, etc?

You have a decent chance if you interview well and are able to articulate compelling and specific reasons why you’re a good fit for the firm. Also, your chances are markedly better if you target offices in secondary markets where top candidates are less inclined to apply (so not NY, DC, or SF, but places like San Diego, Philadelphia, etc.)

If you graduated from NYU, Kasowitz appears to be hiring and interested in applicants with backgrounds like yours.
They do Plaintiff's side work and are entirely lit-focused.
