Has anyone heard back with an interview time for the fellowship?

Has anyone received an interview for Cook County yet?

Anyone learn anything about how the federal defender fellowship program will make final decisions re: fellow selection and office placement?

For the fellowship, I am hoping a follow up email is sent after completion of all interviews.

I hope so too. I am hoping we will hear something this week.

Pretty sure people won't hear back until the end of April, like they mentioned. As far as I know, offices have not gotten together and discussed selection. Interviews are still ongoing. Or they were at least yesterday.

I didn’t realize interviews were still ongoing. I thought they ended Monday. I was just assuming some offers would go out this week if they were hoping to have all fellows locked in by the end of the month.

Does anyone know the general timeline for hiring at the Bronx Defenders? Curious about the Fall 2023 Training Team, especially as a practicing attorney/non-student.

I'm sure it varies from year to year, but this past year first round interviews took place in early fall and second rounds in late fall/early winter. In general, I think they typically make their offers by Jan/Feb.

Can anyone that has interviewed for Cook County’s Pre-Licensed Program provide information on interview tips and the general hiring process?

There is a lack of information about the program on any forum and I’m curious what the process might entail. It’s already June so I’m wondering how involved the hiring process is given that start dates for the program have traditionally been in August.

Not sure if anyone is still lurking on this thread, but has LAS started doing final/Tina round interviews for fall 2022 class yet? I know they're super behind schedule this year.

I don't know - I had my first interview and radio silence. I have heard back from Juvenile for another interview though. Do you know if LAS crim is doing 2 rounds or 3?

Not sure—I did an interview that included a mock summation so I assumed there’s only a final round after that but it’s possible there’s a third round as well.
