Same regrets letter from DOL. Holding on to hope that the NLRB will get back to us this week.

I think as part of the new budget bill they didn't get the increase they wanted for 2022, so that could be causing some of the delay

Yeah I agree that it might be a budget problem. So I'm not really sure if we will hear back soon or even that there will be a significant hiring as was expected. It is truly a bummer but we can't really control the budget situation...

Yea not sure how the new NLRB budget will impact Honors. I did see Field Attorney and Field Examiner podtings on USAJobs recently. Has anyone heard from the NLRB that Regions may not get to hire an Honors attorney?

I remember some other people mentioned applying for the FLRA. Anyone heard anything from them?

Apparently they didnt get the budget number they were expecting. Not sure what that means for the honors program? Last year people found out a little less than a month after interviews, were past that point already this year.

I had a regional office interview mid March and my interviewer predicted the offers going out in the first week or two of April— so I don’t think we need to panic!

You’re going to LOVE working for the government!!!

Semi-kidding, I’m also frustrated with how long this process has taken, but I do think this is (unfortunately) not atypical of an ultra-bureaucratic and under-resourced agency…

I was told by my interviewer that they received over 900 apps for the Board-side position(s), which is way more than usual.

In terms of the funding that folks are bringing up: I'm sure it was disappointing for the NLRB to receive its eighth year of flat funding, but it was also the agency's eighth year of flat funding. So, I can't imagine that it was a total shock to the agency.

Hopefully we'll hear back this week!

But you heard this prediction in mid-march right?

When I interviewed in mid march at a regional office, they indicated they hoped to make offers in early April.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
