Looks like FCC application window got extended by three weeks. I wonder if there's anything going on with a lack of fed. gov. applications this year?

Did Energy just not have a program this year or did I just miss it? Their website says they'd post on USAjobs with apps due in late July/early August but I never saw anything.

I've been "referred" for both the IRS and NOAA for about a month now -- anyone know what's up? Also curious if people have gotten second interviews for the NSA yet? I had an interview with them about a month ago, so just wondering where they are in the process.

I had an interview request on Oct 15th. They said they would be done with first round interviews on Nov 2nd.

Wondering the same thing as above but for OCC. Has anyone who had a second round interview with OCC received a request for references?

After the strange notice from DOL about reopening its application, I reached out to my interviewer this week to ask why it was reopened. She very politely told me I was not designated a finalist. Best of luck to those in the running but thought I would post this update unless anyone else wants to check in with their interviewer.

I didn't! None of my interviewers mentioned this as well, but I just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed anything.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 2:09 pmI haven't received a request for references. I didn't know they asked for references. None of my interviewers mentioned it. Did you?

A friend interviewed with NSA about a month ago and told me today that NSA reached out to his references either yesterday or today.kyetej96 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 12:29 pmI've been "referred" for both the IRS and NOAA for about a month now -- anyone know what's up? I interviewed for IRS Honors almost 2 weeks ago. IIRC they were doing all their interviews the last two weeks of October. However, IRS Honors (non-tax) is doing interviews this week and next.

Has IRS called anyone's references yet? If so, when and which division called them?

Did your friend have a second round interview with NSA?
Also was your interview with the IRS your first or second? Thanks for your help!

I've also been referred to management for further consideration for the IRS. Have not done a second interview at this point. I also interviewed with the NSA roughly a month ago. Haven't heard anything yet about a second interview.kyetej96 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 12:29 pmI've been "referred" for both the IRS and NOAA for about a month now -- anyone know what's up? So, I had an OCI interview with IRS back in late July. Then I sat in received status on USAjobs until October 18. Then October 19 IRS called to schedule an interview. Tbh, I don't really think the first interview meant anything. I understand there to be only one interview that results from being referred and then managers select candidates to interview. Because all the IRS divisions at OGC pick from the same pool, you can get multiple interviews from the IRS. I was told specifically that once the interviews were done by the end of October that division would then get together to vote on who to extend offers. That said, I do not know if all the divisions at OGC are operating on the same schedule.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 4:36 pmAnonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 4:15 pmA friend interviewed with NSA about a month ago and told me today that NSA reached out to his references either yesterday or today.kyetej96 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 12:29 pmI've been "referred" for both the IRS and NOAA for about a month now -- anyone know what's up? As far as NSA goes, I think my friend had just one interview.

Hello all!
I am curious if anyone who has had interviews with the IRS has had their references contacted yet.
I was asked during my second interview if the references I provided in my initial application were still good for being contacted. I yes said. But it appears that to date neither of my references have been contacted.
Any information will be appreciated, thank you!

With the IRS Office of Chief Counsel through their Honors Program. During both interviews, I spoke too Counsel working in SB/SE and LB&I. Those are the two divisions I expressed the most interest in. My impression is that Honors Program candidates that are aiming for field office placements usually are hired to SB/SE. Of course, I might be wrong.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 8:38 pmNot yet. Interviewed 10 days ago. I'm sorry to hear that. I assume that was the Office of the Solicitor?
Also, when were you informed of this status change?
