Does anyone have any NLRB updates? Any regions get hiring authority or give out offers?

I confirmed with my interviewer that NLRB hiring is currently pending with the Board. Hopefully this is the week!

A region just called me with an informal offer! They said HQ would be contacting me (hopefully) this week

FWIW, also learned that the HA program was indeed trimmed down due to the budget, and the decision of which regions get placements was finalized late last week (before anyone asks: no idea how many or which ones)

Has anyone been contacted by a region saying the region did not get a placement?

I have been told that it is likely that their regional office will be unable to hire, and that it would be prudent to look for other employment from two separate regional offices, though there was no definitive statement that they were not getting a placement. At this point, it seems like there would really be no other explanation though :?

Also heard from some regions that they are not hiring. I think offers are region-dependent.

Hi Folks! I also just withdrew my application from the NLRB. I had applied for several regional attorney jobs and was told by two of the regions their hiring authority had been revoked. I had another offer pending so I decided to take it.

For what it’s worth, it sounds like they are giving priority to regions that are the most understaffed - and even those regions are only getting one HA placement. It’s certainly worthwhile to reach out to your interviewers- they were very warm and candid with me. And, as cold comfort, the regions seem to be as disappointed as we are.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting for an answer.

Any info or updates on which regions have lost hiring authority? I've reached out to my contact before a few times and am reluctant to do so again, though I could.

Pretty sure all California regions except Oakland lost it.

I've heard that the three NYC-area regions (2, 22, and 29) got hiring authorization but I also haven't heard of anyone receiving an offer from one of them, so I don't really know what to believe anymore lol

I got a notice of referral for the SEC Honors program yesterday, but no word on an interview. Has anyone been contacted for an interview yet? If so, which division?
The SEC is still interviewing. I have an interview with them tomorrow. Hopefully, they make their hiring decisions soon. I know other regions have hired.

Did they do a reference check? If so, do you know how soon after an offer was extended?

It seems like the timeline is all over the place because I interviewed and received an offer at the SEC back in March.

The office where I got an offer asked me for references, and then I received an offer maybe 3 days later.

Are you able to say with which division? One of the Divisions in DC had said they hoped to make a decision by the middle of this week, but I have yet to hear back.

I similarly got an offer from a regional office within a week or so of them asking for references. Best of luck to everyone!

It was for a position in OGC in DC. I think the offices all have different timelines, though. Enforcement in dc was sending out interview requests in early to mid-April, but I don’t know if they have sent out offers yet.

They did not do a reference check for me as of yet. After I interviewed, I heard back from them in about two business days.
