Had both interviews for all offices. Did not hear anything about reference checks.

Just got a call from ICE-OPLA in Eloy, Arizona. Meeting with them on Monday, not sure if it is a real interview or them just explaining the position/giving the offer!

Congrats, that sounds like great news! Now I will be clutching my phone for the rest of the day. Did they contact your references already? Still silence on my end.

I interviewed with both OGC and ICE-OPLA generally and told them I was flexible for placement.

Had one round with OGC and two rounds with ICE OPLA. Found out one of my references was contacted by ICE OPLA two days ago. I don't know if the office that contacted my reference is the one considering hiring.

Ya I figured I didn't get it. I wonder if anyone got second rounds with both. I wanted ICE OPA more anyway for the trial work :D

I somehow got interviews with both and it was a combined second interview, with like 4 people interviewing me  Also, for those applying to other Honors programs, I wasn't even a finalist for DOJ Honors... so one door might close, but another one will open :)

i am officially second-guessing the phone call from the Phoenix field office for Eloy, AZ

Maybe this is technically ICE-OPLA round two, but OGC told me in round one that if both ICE-OPLA and OGC wanted a second interview, it would be combined, and to my knowledge it was combined because there were ICE lawyers on the call (late-November). But, I never got a specific email from ICE-OPLA for round two, other than this phone call from the field office on Dec. 4.

So, I'm wondering if anyone still has their second-round ICE OPLA interview coming up, or if they are all finished? And if you have it coming up, is it with a specific field office?

I applied to both OGC and ICE-OPLA (National Capital Region). When I got the email that I received a second-round interview, the interview was from OGC people. I asked them and they said that the interview was for both OGC and OPLA. There were attorney(s) from ICE on that call. So I think we are probably in the same boat?

I heard they would combine too when I interviewed with OGC if we got both second rounds, however, before my second interview with OPLA, I received a phone call from one of the field offices that was one of my preferences. The interview consisted of representatives from two offices that I put down as preferences and one attorney from ICE's DC HQ. I obviously don't know for sure, but to me, it sounds like you are getting a second-round interview with OPLA.

I only applied and received two round interviews with OGC. Both interviews were only with OGC people so take that as it is I guess, haha.

My second round was combined with OGC and ICE, so I am in the same boat, except no call from an ICE office. I remember one of my interviewers mentioning that it is possible that one more interview may be conducted with OGC's chief of staff? It was a few weeks ago so I can't really elaborate more.

I only applied to OGC. My second round interview for OGC was with the deputy GC and the acting GC. OGC told me they'd have decisions by mid-december.

Just throwing it out there, waiting in anticipation for some good news on this front is really hampering my ability to focus on finals.

Amen. Current judicial clerk, waiting for bar results, DHS, DOJ, and a firm I interviewed with Friday. I’m studying for February for another jx and the lack of motivation is real

I feel you. Also a current judicial clerk, waiting for bar results, DHS, and NSA. My anxiety is through the roof. Cant really focus on anything else. The most anxiety filled few weeks ever. But in the same boat, you aren't alone.

I just had that interview with Eloy, to be honest I'm more confused than before. They said their team is looking to find people due to high attrition even though they have no vacancies atm. From my understanding it sounds like it isn't even part of the Honors program, and they also said if you don't hear from us into the spring, email us your application materials and we'll let you know if there is a vacancy. ?? Hoping I'm still in the running for the actual Honors program. :|

Wow, that sounds confusing. I think its odd that the Honors Program would refer your application to Eloy for a non-honors position. But, the more folks that see your application the better I suppose! Just curious, did you rank the Southwest in your preferences?
