Former DOL HP applicant here - I've heard of classmates claiming more than 1 interview, the second interview is from local office. I did not get that far so I can't confirm. November would be very early. My timeline for reference: OCI in September, Email asking if I am still interested in early November, Email saying I was referred in late November, Rejection email early January.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 7:08 pmI had an interview through my schools OCI in August as well (for the National Office) and my interviewers let me know that there is only one interview and that decisions would be made in November at the earliest.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 9:54 amI interviewed for DOL Honors National Office through our OCI in August and was told to apply through USAJobs. My status has stayed at "Referred" since applying. I asked in the interview what the process is moving forward, and they told me that there are usually two interviews (at least for the National Office).

Re: Honors Attorney Program 2020-2021 (non-DOJ)
I interviewed in August (not through OCI, just after submitting my application materials early) with DOL Honors National Office. I was told that there WOULD be another interview, and that those interview decisions would be made by a hiring committee. I got the impression that the first interview was just a screener interview, as it was very short and not very substantive.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 7:08 pmI had an interview through my schools OCI in August as well (for the National Office) and my interviewers let me know that there is only one interview and that decisions would be made in November at the earliest.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 9:54 amI interviewed for DOL Honors National Office through our OCI in August and was told to apply through USAJobs. It's been cancelled for at least two years in a row, then. I interned at the SEC last fall and they were not accepting applications that year either.szumo wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 10:22 pmThe program is not discontinued, but it is cancelled for this year, per my Securities Regulations professor who spoke with someone pretty high up.mwells_56 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 10:22 amPretty sure that program got discontinuedAnonymous User wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2020 9:42 pmAnyone know what the entry-level pay grade is for the SEC Attorneys Honors Program?

Anyone heard anything from Army Corp, FERC, or NRC's Law Clerk position. My school's OCI says ACOE interviews are this week, but interview selections are listed as "pending" and it says they won't be released until October 30th. Makes no sense.

I applied to DOL Honors and found out I was referred a couple weeks ago. I still haven't received an email to schedule an interview. Should I be worried that my status could change, or should I just be more patient?

Do you mean your status went “referred” on usajobs? Unfortunately that doesn’t mean you’ll get interviewed, it just means that you meet the requirements for the search committee to review your application.

ACOE website says application materials for the civilian honors program aren't required to be submitted until October 15th. They may be doing OCI interviews in addition to their internal process; but unless you did OCI bidding with your school, I wouldn't expect anything for a while.IAmMuirMan wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 6:31 pmAnyone heard anything from Army Corp, FERC, or NRC's Law Clerk position. Interviewed in late August after submitting on USAJobs. Already graduated and Clerking right now. Interview was long for me- 35 minutes and pretty substantive. They did tell me they're sort of like screeners and either refer me or not to the next level, which indicated to me there might be another interview round.

Same here, but my interviewer told me pretty explicitly not to expect to hear anything before mid-October.Zoobanks wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 10:42 amInterviewed at the beginning of September, haven't heard anything.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 10:32 amI have not. I have not heard anything from the IRS and I submitted my application early in August. My application still says "received." However, they did send me an email last week to tell me that they had received my application (even though I applied a few months ago).
