Same here. No offer yet, BIA finalist. It seems like in past years, a lot of BIA offers have been extended throughout December and some as late as January.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 2:43 pmHas anyone received an offer from OIL or BIA? Was designated as a finalist for both

If we did not get updated as a finalist after Deana said our hiring component designated finalists, are we out of the process, or is there some official rejection notice we get to look forward to

I just received a rejection notice from an EOIR component. Well, automated system notice I guess.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 3:39 pmIf we did not get updated as a finalist after Deana said our hiring component designated finalists, are we out of the process, or is there some official rejection notice we get to look forward to

Re: DOJ Honors Program 2020-2021
I got offer calls from both OIL-APP and DSC. also for all the OCIJ clerks out there (current clerk) you will probably get an email next week or the first week of December if you are a first round pick. One of my current coworkers who was an alternate did not get an email until January/February although my class was quite large (100+) vs this year (25). I also imagine that this is because a lot of current clerks are converting into permanent positions starting in September 2021 so the need isn’t as dire as it was in the past couple of years.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 12:04 pmDoes anyone know of any offers that have gone out yet? For any component?

Re: DOJ Honors Program 2020-2021
Earlier in the thread a couple people mentioned receiving phone calls. Here's some more info from DeannaAnonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 12:04 pmDoes anyone know of any offers that have gone out yet? For any component?
Hi, all:
I've received several questions about the timing of offers. I wish I could tell you that there's a magic date by which all first round offers will be extended, but I cannot.
The timing of offers going out is a matter of component discretion. Each hiring office has its own protocol and process on how to accomplish this. Factor in the fact that they often need to get a final budget confirmation (and we're looking at the budget as we think it will be in fall 2021) as well as the fact that the people making the offers have very busy schedules, and you can imagine that it may take a little time.
I can confirm that offers have been going out from some of the hiring offices. We are starting to receive responses from candidates who didn't need the full response period to consider whether or not to accept. The hiring offices are as eager to get their offers out as you are to receive them, so please be patient.
I know that you guys are anxious and hopeful. I promise to post updates as fast as possible as results come in.

Rejection notices come via email. I got one so far. Here's more detail from Deanna, they should come pretty slowly unfortunately. Relevant part is the last paragraph.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 3:39 pmIf we did not get updated as a finalist after Deana said our hiring component designated finalists, are we out of the process, or is there some official rejection notice we get to look forward to
Sorry for the delay - lots of things hitting my email at the same time this afternoon. I've been adding candidates to a variety of component pools as they come in today, often one or two at a time.
The largest groups were Tax Division SLIP selections (with a few more to come in, I'm told). Antitrust added more finalists to both HP and SLIP, and EOIR posted it's SLIP selections. The USAO, Southern District of California added a finalist as well.
I hope to get offer clearances completed and finalists posted today. Now, that said, inevitably I will get a few late updates as components reconcile their lists next week to ensure they are complete. Sometimes the person doing the updates at the component side get interrupted, distracted, take a phone call, and so forth, and just inadvertently overlook someone. When they do, they let me know and we update at our end.
This may not resolve 100% today.
As soon as components authorize me to do so, I'll send notices to folks they interviewed who were not identified as finalists. This is, necessarily, a piecemeal process. I just want you to know that I understand the pressure and your very understandable concern, and will encourage the hiring offices to respond as fast as possible

I was selected as finalist for ATR at some point either today or yesterday. I have not received a call yet though. Should I be worried?

Don't know if anyone has experienced anything similar, but this might be helpful for EOIR-OCIJ Finalists. Interviewed with OCIJ and my status still says Selected for Interview. But I received an email stating I was part of a very small group of alternates who might be issued an offer if they have more spots open up (presumably if someone doesn't accept an offer or they get approval to hire more people). Since my online status didn't change, I assume that everyone designated as a Finalist will probably be issued an offer

Today my status changed to finalist on avue, but I never received a phone call. Does that mean I am an alternate? I applied for ATR, DC

Components make offers on totally different timelines. You may well still get an offer - the phone call isn’t connected to when the finalist designation shows up.

Does Deanna's update this morning mean that all finalist designations are complete? I kind of read it that way, but there are some divisions (particularly in Civil) where she never confirmed all finalists had been identified.

I had the same question. I do not think it is totally clear, but my hunch is that all finalists have been designated based on her update this morning.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 11:55 amDoes Deanna's update this morning mean that all finalist designations are complete? I also question because there has been nothing about the DEA-ALJ slots (there were 3 and were different from the 2 DEA-OGC positions). I asked in a reply to her post.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 12:10 pmI had the same question.
