Glad I’m not the only one. I’m waiting for DHS Honors (and bar results) as well...I have a feeling it’s going to be a rough next few weeks

Welp. As a current 3L finalist, my hope is dwindling even more.

Got a phone call from a DC area code while I was chewing food, thought it was the BIA, spit food into my hand, answered the phone. It was a car insurance spam call. Things are going great.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 12:31 pmAnonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 10:24 amMay 2018 graduate, also a current judicial clerk and COMM finalist. Do you guys think that all of the EOIR-OCIJ first round offers have been made already? I noticed that no one posted that they received an offer yesterday or today yet.

It's tough to know, but regardless, it seems like a handful of OCIJ finalists are also finalists for other EOIR components so it's likely that at least some first-round offers will be declined.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Dec 03, 2020 12:35 pmDo you guys think that all of the EOIR-OCIJ first round offers have been made already? Heads up to those of y'all who are hoping to hear from the BIA that I just declined an offer, so there's at least one spot up for grabs. Good luck!

Is it safe to assume that the BIA has issued all of its first-round offers at this point? Trying to adjust my expectations appropriately.

Same boat here. Also fed programs finalist, also radio silence so far.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 3:51 pmFed Program finalist here that has also not received an offer. I don't know any other finalists, so I have no insight if any offers have been given yet. If anyone has heard otherwise, it would be great to know!Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 1:30 pmi know this has been asked before, but does anyone know whether fed programs offers have begun yet?

Of course! It was a really tough choice, but after some serious reflection, I decided that OCIJ was more conducive to my long-term career goals with regard to where I want to live and work. Additionally, I have relocation constraints due to some family issues.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 2:05 pmMind if I ask why you chose OCIJ over BIA? For those who have accepted offers -- any idea when we get access to e-QIP/when we've got to complete all the background paperwork. I've accepted a position in Civil and got an email requesing info to get the process rolling, but I wasn't sure when we would actually complete it.

My component told me to complete in 30 days, but it might be different for different components. Regardless, they said the earlier the better so they can get started. That probably applies to all components.

Yeah, I received e-qip access shortly after emailing my info. They told me to complete by 30 days from e-qip access.
