Any movement on BIA?
Nope, and I've been staring at my phone

Glad I’m not the only one. I’m waiting for DHS Honors (and bar results) as well...I have a feeling it’s going to be a rough next few weeks
Same boat. BIA finalist and waiting for bar results. Nothing on either front.
Wait, have most of you already graduated?
May 2020 graduate, current judicial clerk. COMM finalist hanging on to hope by a thread
May 2018 graduate, also a current judicial clerk and COMM finalist. My hope is dwindling, but trying to hang in there!
I keep seeing COMM, what actually is it?

Welp. As a current 3L finalist, my hope is dwindling even more.

Got a phone call from a DC area code while I was chewing food, thought it was the BIA, spit food into my hand, answered the phone. It was a car insurance spam call. Things are going great.

It's the Commercial Litigation Branch of the Civil Division.

Do you guys think that all of the EOIR-OCIJ first round offers have been made already? I noticed that no one posted that they received an offer yesterday or today yet. 😕

It's tough to know, but regardless, it seems like a handful of OCIJ finalists are also finalists for other EOIR components so it's likely that at least some first-round offers will be declined.

Heads up to those of y'all who are hoping to hear from the BIA that I just declined an offer, so there's at least one spot up for grabs. Good luck!

Is it safe to assume that the BIA has issued all of its first-round offers at this point? Trying to adjust my expectations appropriately.

i know this has been asked before, but does anyone know whether fed programs offers have begun yet?
Fed Program finalist here that has also not received an offer. I don't know any other finalists, so I have no insight if any offers have been given yet. If anyone has heard otherwise, it would be great to know!
Same boat here. Also fed programs finalist, also radio silence so far.

Of course! It was a really tough choice, but after some serious reflection, I decided that OCIJ was more conducive to my long-term career goals with regard to where I want to live and work. Additionally, I have relocation constraints due to some family issues.

For those who have accepted offers -- any idea when we get access to e-QIP/when we've got to complete all the background paperwork. I've accepted a position in Civil and got an email requesing info to get the process rolling, but I wasn't sure when we would actually complete it.

My component told me to complete in 30 days, but it might be different for different components. Regardless, they said the earlier the better so they can get started. That probably applies to all components.

Silly question, but are we considered clerks or attorney advisors in the BIA?
