Re: Attorney Advisor (Trademark Examining Attorney) for USPTO
Any ideas if offers are made within a certain time period? I interviewed the third week of January and have not heard anything, and am starting to think that I probably won't since offers seem to have been going out the last week. Anyone else still waiting?

Hi, I am waiting to hear back as well. Not sure if they've contacted all their first choice candidates and I'm a later choice. I'm wondering for those who received an offer, how long did they give you to accept the offer?

Hi, I am still waiting to hear back from the PTO and am wondering, for those who received an offer, how much time did they give you to make the decision? Looking for a sense of the timeline.

They gave us 2 business days from the date of the tentative offer to move forward. I received my tentative offer after hours Thursday night so I assume I had until the end of today to accept. Don't give up hope!Anonymous User wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 10:48 amHi, I am waiting to hear back as well. Not sure if they've contacted all their first choice candidates and I'm a later choice. For a sense of my personal timeline, I interviewed the second week of January and received a soft offer by phone call from a managing attorney the second week of February. They contacted my references between then and last week and then I received a tentative offer late last week with a required acceptance by today. Good luck to everybody still waiting!Anonymous User wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 10:51 amHi, I am still waiting to hear back from the PTO and am wondering, for those who received an offer, how much time did they give you to make the decision? I’m also waiting. Interviewed on Jan 21. Emailed Melissa McGrath early last week, got the standard selections are still being made reply. Assuming it’s a bad idea to reach out to one of the interviewers.
Does anyone know if applicants are ranked, or how selections are made? Sounds like offers are coming through law offices and not HR.
And for seasoned attorneys that have been out for a few years, are they worried about overqualified or having average grades v top of class?

Has anyone not received an offer letter from HR yet, but received the soft offer?
I received the soft offer about 2 weeks ago. My references were contacted the following day. HR then contacted me by phone to inform me that I was officially selected and that I would be receiving an offer letter "soon". Well it's been a little over 2 weeks now and I still haven't heard anything so naturally the panic has started to settle in that something went wrong lol. Is anyone else in this same situation??

Maybe you should follow up with HR. I received a tentative offer letter via email over a week ago and had to submit some paperwork shortly after that. It appears others in the forum did the same.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Mon Mar 01, 2021 7:51 pmHas anyone not received an offer letter from HR yet, but received the soft offer?

I ended up following up with HR today and it turns out that for some reason I never received the email even though it was registered as being sent to me. Thankfully they resent it and I have now received it. So if anyone else is in a similar situation to me, definitely reach out to HR and they will help you out!Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 12:55 pmMaybe you should follow up with HR. Actually got a rejection email the evening of March 2. It was a form email saying over 480 applied for less than 50 positions and to apply again next round. I was already 99% sure I was not getting an offer but I definitely appreciated the closure. Congratulations to the new class!

But seeing that they are still giving offers, I'm not that surprised.

Congrats to all who made it through this last round and are getting ready to start! I think I am finally ready to put my hat in the right the next time around! Does anyone know when the next hiring cycle will likely start?
Thanks

Thank you for the post about the new openings. I applied the last cycle and made it to the interviews but was not selected. Hoping for better luck this go around.
Can any recently hired examiners speak about remote training and if you have been asked to transition or if there is a date to transition to in office duty?

It is concerning none of the recent examiners are sharing their stories. Is the culture improved at PTO?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
