Got the unofficial offer on a call today. They said they’d try to make it official next week if background checks go well. Good luck everyone!

What day did you interview? What time did they call you? Was it your prospective manager that called?

Re: Attorney Advisor (Trademark Examining Attorney) for USPTO
I haven't heard a thing yet. This is my second time applying and second time interviewing (I previously applied and interviewed a few years ago). I'm an experienced attorney (practicing 5+ years) in a different field of law and looking to make a transition to trademark law. I hope being an "experienced" attorney isn't hindering my chances.
For those who have gotten offers, do they check your references before or after you get a "soft offer"?
(And I hope they send rejection letters this time; last time, I never heard anything)

Mine was for October 25th start date. I don’t think it hinders you. What I heard hinders you is if you’re overly experienced in trademarks to the point you’re not trainable.

I got the official you were not selected email. I got to the interview stage last go around. This time only got to the written submission stage. Good luck to all that got offers!
One question, I know there is an Oct class, did they also hire for the Feb class?

Re: Attorney Advisor (Trademark Examining Attorney) for USPTO
Still waiting too. I have more than 10 years experience and most of that is on the patent side of USPTO with outstanding performance reviews. Yet I have yet to get the call. I think I might. But this is the first time I have even been referred! I think this was my 3rd time applying. Crazy.
So much is luck. Is my application going to get before someone who thinks I am a good fit? Do I have the background that they are looking for this hiring? I say luck because I think most all of us who interviewed have the qualifications and can be successful at this job. They train us and it is not that hard. It is demanding production wise.
Another anecdote. I have also been applying at CFPB with no luck. Felt real good talking to someone who got hired in 2019. Felt good because I was beginning to think I had no chance unless I knew someone and/or went to Ivy League school. However She was from my hometown, went to same State University, went to a not extraordinary law school, did not have any inside connections, applied on usajobs, ( did have 10 plus years of bank related legal experience).
Her advice- if you want it keep applying. I agree as to all of these government jobs. Good luck to all.

I'm still waiting to hear. Do the offers come in waves?
At the end of my interview, one of the interviewers said, "Good luck with everything." Based on that, I'm probably getting a rejection, right?

That’s a big leap! They liked you enough to wish you good luck
They are hiring 100 people. Calls still coming.

Aww, thank you! You're right! I shouldn't jump to conclusions. This has been quite a process. Hoping to hear either way soon

Anyone else get an offer this week?
I wonder if they're delaying the offers for the February class. Has anyone who's gotten an offer been offered a spot in the February class?

Today I got a call asking if it was okay to call my references/if I’m still interested. Is this the soft offer? Wasn’t told anything about which class.

Received a call from HR today with a tentative offer for an October 25th start. Good luck everybody! Does anyone know if there's still a February start date?

Same.
Reading past posts, we could get an offer in the upcoming weeks so not all hope is lost.
Also, I wonder about the impact of a government shutdown on the hiring process. While PTO can operate during a shutdown, they might put the hiring on hold. Who knows.

No offer here yet, either. It does sound like they're still sending them out (and it's all happening in waves), so don't lose hope!

If I haven't heard by now, should I give up hope of receiving an offer?
Do they send a rejection letter?
