I was wondering the same thing. I had an interview with Tina in late March, and I haven't heard anything either way. Has anyone?

I also interviewed in late March and have not yet heard anything. I was told by Tina to make sure to register for the NY bar, which made me expect that they would not be letting us know before the April 30 deadline.

LAS gave offers WELL after the deadline to sign up for the NY Bar back in 2015 I believe. Around June or later. So anything is possible. Hope you all signed up for the NY Bar!

Has anyone interviewed for Alaska public defender lately?

Has anyone who is currently at Colorado PD or going there know when we will find out our office placements? I talked to some people who started last year and they said they learned their placement in July and started in August. Have they made placements sooner than that in the past? Any information is appreciated!

Placements are generally made pretty late from my understanding. I found out the day I passed the bar and started in November.

they will probably ask you if you want to start sooner or later when you get bar results. Sometimes you can start the next week if you really hate yourself. But generally most people will be placed in august with notice of where and when given about 30 days earlier. could be later though like guy above said. I didnt get placed till january, but got job offer in may.

I've heard through triple hearsay that BDS made a few offers. Has anyone heard the same? If so, was it for first years or laterals?

I know firsthand from someone who got an offer from BDS in early April. But I have a third interview scheduled with them next week and I assume they wouldn't be doing curtesy third interviews if there weren't still some open spots.

Edit: And sorry, forgot to say this was a first year starting. She is a 3L at my school.

Got a BDS rejection letter earlier this week. In person panel interview/ arraignment exercise was back in March.

For those of you who went through final interview with TINA, any movement at all? Has anyone had their references called at all? It's almost June. Gosh the wait kills.

No movement at all. Even bad news would be appreciated at this point– anything to put an end to the anticipation.

Received offer from BDS this past Thursday. Final interview was May 16, second interview was mid March. Withdrew application to LAS.

Hi this may not be the appropriate place to post. does anyone know if there are PD offices in California that would hire someone with 2-3 years of experience not currently barred in CA? I plan to sit for the February bar. Thank you.

if you are licensed you can be placed whenever

if you are taking july bar then august is about as soon as you can start and you find out placement about 30 days before that
