Since people aren't elaboring I'm assuming it's a trick..there wouldn't be this much silence if all LAS decisions were out..there website even says not til April for the rest of offers.

How are notifications coming out?

My rejection was via email. They said at my interview that are hiring way fewer people this year, unfortunately. Apparently there was a massive hiring push the last few years but now they're just about up to the numbers they need.

This could be just one wave..in my interview I was told that up to April they will be rejecting people, with the last offers being given in April and only 10 given in January

It might be worth mentioning that I think they're hiring for various departments. That would explain the differing things people are being told.

Wow that's so long!!! I am assuming that if you didn't get the reject yesterday, it probably means you'll be getting an invitation for a final round.

I was rejection yesterday for criminal defense division after having panel in November, have an expiring offer for a different office which I told Toni about in December. Fwiw she said Jan 12 was the first hiring committee meeting date for the first round of hires where they pick their initial 10. Rest to come after LAS gets their budget.

Do you think you'll accept the offer? Trying to figure out if they offered all ten people on Friday and then maybe they'll call more people if those individuals reject them? I really want LAS, but unfortunately can't wait to hear from them until April.

I did what they called a second-round interview with Maryland a few days ago. It was not clear to me whether there would be another round after that.

Wasn't an intern. Went the normal route of applying for a position around Thanksgiving and then going through two rounds of interviews. Heard about the offer this month. No other offers so the LAS one is a blessing.

I don't know if the 10 person number is accurate. I have no idea how many people they've already hired or plan to hire but they never said anything to me about a hard number they were aiming for. I have a friend who told me he just applied this week so also judging from the 3 or so people here who say they got offers, I imagine they're taking on more?

When did you have your final round? How were you notified? I was told that they wouldn't even know their numbers for hiring those people without outside offers until the last week in Jan/first in Feb. Not doubting you, but wondering why Tina would be so explicit about the timeline then alter course.
