1st Year relocation assistance

Post by Black_Swan » Wed Sep 22, 2021 7:37 pm

Please do not quote.

Anyone starting in a market other than the one where they interned during 2L/went to school? What type of relocation assistance do you get? Can one negotiate those? Are perks such as broker fees available or are they restricted to markets such as NYC?

PLEASE DO NOT QUOTE>> thanks..

For the south, $6k or so in moving costs (reimbursable), and there was some housing stuff (like i think they pay for one apartment/house hunting trip, airfare + hotel, before you come). didnt ask about broker fees since not selling or buying a house, and its probably rare for a 1L to do so (there are no broker fees for renting in most markets, and def not the one I am going to)

Thank you. Any difference whether you are a first year full time associate or a lateral?
