Big Law Data

Hello,
After receiving somewhat underwhelming grades (scored slightly below average at top 20 school) I'm concerned about my prospects for joining private practice in Biglaw, specifically New York. Other than NALP Directory, what other reliable sources are there for data on hiring trends and the like?
Also, I really dislike Above the Law for many reasons and hate how they push certain law firm names depending on who advertises with them. I really need to be more efficient with my time. I've come across this website called Adam Smith Esquire but the guy who writes it is a consultant who gets paid by Biglaw so the content is more for managing partners in Biglaw. Just wondering if anyone is aware of any legit good resources I'm not aware of.
Thanks.
