Top Law Schools

I'm a 1L who just received offers at V&E Austin and Baker Botts Houston. I've also had callbacks with Kirkland, STB, and Alston & Bird, but all of these firms are waiting until my grades come out to give me responses. I'm interested in corporate transactional work, and right now I'm most interested in M&A, private equity, ECVC, and tech work. For those of you familiar with V&E Austin and Baker Botts Houston, which would you choose, and why? Thanks!

Both are highly respected. I think the first answer is, would you rather live in Houston or Austin. Both are good Texas firms and have respected transactional practices. A&B would be my pick if everything comes back cool though.
